I always enjoyed speaking with Derrick and found him to be an incredibly positive person to be around. We could talk about anything (food, markets, shoes...) and his level of enthusiasm was always the same. I remember often I'd tease him for dressing down some days, and the next day he'd sit at his desk with his suit jacket on all day just to make a point. I'd look over at him and he'd just smile and make some funny comment back at me. It was his smile and easy going laugh that made him such a kind and generous person to be around. I will miss seeing him in the row, and will certainly miss the friendly banter and fun that he brought to our team. To Derrick's family - I'm so sorry for your loss. Derrick was a wonderful person, and someone for which I had a tremendous amount of respect for as an individual, a colleague and a friend. You all are in my thoughts during this difficult time.
